The Teclock Durometer GS-701G is used for measuring the hardness of very soft materials such as soft rubber, foam rubber, EVA foam, erasers, and windings yarn. It is a Type C (also referred to as Asker C) durometer

• Soft Rubber: It is specifically designed to measure the hardness of various soft rubber products.
• Foam Materials: A common application is measuring the hardness of foam rubber and EVA foam.
• Erasers: The device complies with the JIS S 6050 standard for the hardness test of "Plastic eraser".
• Polyurethane Elastomers: It is used in physical testing methods for thermosetting polyurethane elastomers, complying with the JIS K 7312 standard.
• Windings Yarn: It can also be used for measuring the hardness of windings yarn.
