The ASKER C1L is a precision durometer specifically designed to measure the hardness of soft, elastic materials. It is widely considered the world's de facto standard for this type of measurement. ASKER Durometer Type C1L Widely used for measuring soft rubber, sponges, and other foam elastomers, as well as rolled-threads, -films and textile windings (yarn packages). Pic.: EVA sponge foam is measured in degrees of hardness using an Asker C1L gauge. Standard about physical test method of polyurethane Elastomer. In addition, type C for low hardness range is called ASKER C1L is the same product ASKER-C. • Standards Compliance: It complies with Japanese Industrial Standards JIS K 7312 and JIS S 6050 (for plastic erasers).
• Design: It features a hemispherical indenter (ball-shaped) and a more specialized spring load than standard Shore A models to ensure accuracy on very soft samples.
• Accuracy: High-performance models typically offer an accuracy of ±0.75 points
