Conductivity Sensor ISC40
The ISC40 Inductive sensor is virtually maintenance free.There are two basic sensor styles used for measuring Conductivity: Contacting and Inductive (Toroidal, Electrodeless). With Inductive Conductivity (also called Toroidal or Electrodeless), the sensing elements (electrode coils) of an inductive sensor do not come in direct contact with the process. These two matched (identical) coils are encapsulated in PEEK (or Teflon) protecting them from the adverse effects of the process. There is only one cell factor (constant) for the ISC40 Inductive Sensor. It covers nearly the entire conductivity measurement range ~ 50-2,000,000 µS/cm. Only on the low end (below 50 µS) does the accuracy of the sensor suffer.
APPLICATIONS
• All applications where severe electrode fouling
prevents the use of contacting electrodes.
• All ranges except (ultra) pure water applications.
• All slurry applications where conventional systems
suffer from plugging or erosion.
• All applications where the 6 decade rangeability is
necessary for accurate process control.
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
Refer to GS 12A01A03-01EN for the FLXA202, GS 12A01A02-01E for the FLXA21, GS 12A01F01-01EN for the FLXA402.
Because the ISC40 Inductive sensor is virtually maintenance free; it is the first choice for any application. If the ISC40 cannot be used then it is recommended to use the 4-electrode design, model SC42 large bore sensor.
The Yokogawa ISC40GJ-GG-T1-Y1 is a durable, glass-filled PEEK inductive sensor designed for measuring conductivity in harsh, corrosive, or high-fouling industrial applications. It is used for monitoring chemical concentrations, pulp and paper processing, and clean-in-place (CIP) systems.

Process temperature: -10 to +130 °C
PEEK sensor body with excellent chemical resistance
Suitable for chemical processing, wastewater, slurry and CIP applications
Compatible with Yokogawa FLXA402 / FLXA21 / FLXA202 analyzers
