The Ushio UVD-S405 is a separate-type UV photodetector (sensor head) designed for use with Ushio's UIT-250 and UIT-250A Unimeter series of accumulated UV meters. It is specifically calibrated to measure ultraviolet light centered at a wavelength of 405 nm.

• High Sensitivity: Features a sensitivity deterioration rate that is less than 1/10th of previous Ushio models, ensuring long-term reliability.
• Interchangeability: The sensor head is replaceable, allowing the same UIT-250 main unit to measure other wavelengths (such as 172nm, 254nm, 313nm, or 365nm) just by swapping the detector.
• Operating Conditions: Designed for use in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 50°C.
• Optional Extensions: Compatible with extension cables (standard options up to 2 meters) to reach narrow or distant measurement areas.
