B-type viscometer (spindle) TV-100B/200B type

This is a B -type viscometer with a spindle type rotor . The multi-range function allows for a very wide measurement range. One unit has the measurement range of three conventional viscometers , making it highly cost-effective. Recommended if you want to measure samples of various viscosities with one unit.

Depending on the viscosity value of the sample to be measured

Low viscosity: L type High viscosity: H type

It covers three ranges, and has a measurement range equivalent to three conventional viscometers .

This enables the measurement of multiple samples with different viscosity values.In addition, the ability to perform measurements over a wide range of rotation speeds (shear rates) expands the scope of sample evaluation.

Programming function (TV-200B only)

You can set up to 10 patterns of programs with up to 40 steps . For each step, you can set the "rotation speed" , "measurement range" , and "measurement time" . Measurement operations are always determined by a program, enabling stable measurements with good reproducibility . Non-Newtonian samples show various behaviors depending on the timing of changes in rotation speed (shear rate) and differences in measurement time. Therefore, when measuring such samples, using the program function allows measurements to be made with the same operation regardless of who is measuring , enabling stable measurements. This is an essential function especially when calculating flow analysis or TI (thixotropy index) values .

This software imports viscosity data into a PC.

Real-time graphing: By graphing in real time , sample characteristics can be visualized and easily evaluated.In addition, the simple analysis function can calculate "hysteresis loop area" and "non-Newtonian viscosity index" .

Standard spindle rotor

The following spindle rotors are included as standard with B-type viscometers depending on the range type .

• Low viscosity type (L type): TM1 to TM4 4 bottles
• High viscosity type (H type): TH2 to TH7 6 bottles

Small sample adapter

A B-type viscometer generally uses a 500ml beaker, so a relatively large amount of sample is required. However, by using the optional small-volume sample adapter ,

• Viscosity measurement of expensive samples
• Viscosity measurement of a small amount of prototype sample
• Viscosity measurement of samples that are dangerous when handled in large quantities

In this case, viscosity measurements can be performed with small sample volumes (8-13 ml).

*When using a small sample adapter, temperature control using a thermostatic water bath is required due to the small amount of sample.

Low Viscosity Adapter

By using the optional low viscosity adapter (L adapter) , it is possible to measure the viscosity of low viscosity fluids that cannot be measured with a standard rotor. Another feature is that it can be measured with a small sample volume (approximately 22 ml).

*When using a low viscosity adapter, the amount of sample is small, so temperature control using a thermostatic water bath is required.
