TOHNICHI Semi-automatic Airtork A3/A4 Series. Air motor mounted on torque wrench allows for all functions from provisional tightening to final tightening in one tool. On May 21, 2024, A10N3 and ALS10N3 were upgraded to the lighter, more compact A10N4 and ALS10N4, while A25N3 and ALS25N3 were similarly upgraded to the A25N4 and ALS25N4.
The Tohnichi A100N3 is a high-performance semi-automatic pneumatic Airtork wrench from the Tohnichi A3/A4 series. It is specifically engineered to combine high-speed provisional air tightening and precision manual final tightening into a single tool. This eliminates the need for a separate pneumatic impact tool and standard torque wrench combination.

Features
- Simple Torque Adjustment: Changing the target torque setting is exceptionally fast. Users can rotate the knob located at the end of the tool to match the desired setting directly on the handle's built-in N·m graduation scale.
- Anti-Vibration Design: The upgraded square drive head is specialized to accommodate impact-wrench rated anti-vibration sockets. This greatly lowers tool vibration and limits long-term operator fatigue.
- Zero Reaction Arm: Even when delivering up to 100 Nm of torque, it does not require a structural reaction arm or bracing system. The mechanism results in zero reaction force kicking back to the user.
- Testing & Calibration: This tool can be easily adjusted and certified on standard automated torque testing hardware, such as the Tohnichi DOTE4-G tester. No specialized joint simulators are required
How It Works
The tool is built to streamline assembly line work and mass-production fastening tasks through a sequential workflow:
- Pneumatic Fastening: The operator presses the palm button to engage the internal air motor. The air motor quickly spins and handles the provisional "rundown" tightening of the bolt or nut.
- Pressure Isolation: Fluctuations or drops in the manufacturing plant's air line pressure do not affect the final torque.
- Manual Hand Click: Once the pneumatic motor stalls out or stops, the operator simply pulls the handle using manual force until the torque wrench "clicks". This click indicates that the preselected, highly accurate target torque value has been cleanly achieved.
