Smart Tweezers™ is a handheld electronic tool of a new concept. Its unique design combines a pair of gold-plated SMD tweezers with ergonomic shielded handles and a precise full featured LCR impedance meter in a compact, lightweight instrument. Smart Tweezers™ measures electronic component’s capacitance, resistance and inductance with high speed and precision by evaluating circuit impedance. Additionally it tests diodes, measures ESR and impedance Z. Smart Tweezers™ provides a perfect solution for testing and identification of Surface Mount Devices (SMD) as well as for troubleshooting of complex electronic systems. The Siborg Systems Inc. Smart Tweezers ST-5S is a professional-grade, handheld LCR/ESR meter specifically designed for testing, identifying, and troubleshooting Surface Mount Devices (SMD) and complex electronic systems. By combining a pair of gold-plated precision tweezers with a digital multimeter, it allows for fast, one-handed circuit component evaluation.     Ergonomic Design and Convenient Controls Default settings can be modified by navigating a set of menus with the Navigation Control. Meter’s display can be easily flipped from the menu for left-handed use.                    

• Automatic Component Identification: Instantly identifies the component type (L, C, or R), selects the optimal test frequency, and sets the proper measurement range automatically to eliminate trial-and-error time. 
• Component Sorting & Tolerance: Includes a sorting function with audible indicators for preset variable tolerances (1%, 5%, 10%, and 20%), making manual binning of loose components fast and accurate.
• Parasitic Offset Subtraction: Utilizes a math null function to store measurement offsets, removing the parasitic resistance or capacitance of the tweezer tips for high-precision, low-value measurements. 
• Additional Test Modes: Supports diode polarity/short testing, continuity checks, and displays multi-parameter readings simultaneously on its dashboard display. 
• Ergonomic Hardware: Equipped with Swiss-made precision tips, a 4-way navigation joystick, and an organic LED (OLED) display that flips seamlessly for left- or right-handed users

• Measurement Parameters: Automatically or manually tests Inductance (L), Capacitance (C), Resistance (R), Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), and Impedance (Z).
• High Accuracy: Delivers a basic accuracy of 0.2% for Resistance and Capacitance, and 0.5% for Inductance. 
• Test Signals: Offers adjustable test signal levels of 0.5 and 1.0 Vrms. The 1.0 Vrms level allows precision testing of ceramic capacitors (like X5R), while the lower level is optimized for safe in-board testing without waking up adjacent components. 
• Test Frequencies: Supports standard test frequencies ranging from 100 Hz to 10 kHz.
• Battery & Power: Features an integrated rechargeable Li-Ion battery with a micro-USB charging port.

Capacitor ESR Meter Mode Smart Tweezers™ feature a ESR Meter/Tester mode for quality testing of high value capacitors. Perfect for Conventional Components Smart Tweezers™ works fine with conventional though-hole electronic components. The unit helps to verify values with high speed and precision. Built-in Li-Ion Polymer Rechargeable battery Smart Tweezers™ comes equipped with a built-in high-capacity Li-Ion rechargeable battery. Battery replacements are not required.
