Security has been strengthened with an anti-theft mechanism for the programmer itself and encryption of customer programs stored in flash memory, providing thorough protection against theft and loss. We also provide a free GUI that supports multiple batch writing, eliminating the bottleneck of online writing during mass production.

-Writing method: On-board writing using the dedicated programming GUI "FP6 Terminal" or standalone. Off-board writing using the program adapter FA Series (sold separately) .

- Target interface 14-pin target interface * Customers using a 16-pin target interface should convert it using the FP5 target cable (16-pin type) (sold separately).

・Emphasis on compatibility with FL-PR5 Supports a wide range of Renesas Electronics microcontrollers with high reliability inherited from the FL-PR5. The external interface (serial communication command control, remote control by signals from external devices) is also compatible with FL-PR5, so you can reuse control assets developed with FL-PR5.

・Functional improvements from FL-PR5

1) Reduced programming time compared to FL-PR5 (e.g. RL78/F15: 9% RX71M: 40% RH850/E1M-S2: 19%). Improved productivity on the production line contributes to cost reduction.

2) Reduces the download time of the main program file (for example, a 38% reduction in a program size of 16MB), contributing to improved work efficiency during development.

3. The programmer's anti-theft mechanism and encryption of customer programs stored in the flash memory enhance security against theft or loss of program files in the programmer.

This is an adapter for writing to devices off-board. We offer the "FA-RX" which has a lineup according to the target device, and the "FA-B" which allows customers to flexibly wire according to the device.
