The PCAN-USB Pro FD adapter enables the connection of CAN FD and LIN networks to a computer via USB. Two field buses can be connected at the same time, up to four with appropriate adapter cables (2 x CAN FD, 2 x LIN). Each CAN FD channel is separately isolated against USB and LIN with a maximum of 500 Volts. Its robust aluminum casing makes the PCAN-USB Pro FD adapter suitable for mobile applications.
The PEAK-System PCAN-USB Pro FD is a professional-grade dual-channel interface that connects CAN FD and LIN networks to a computer via high-speed USB 2.0. It is designed for automotive bus development, testing, and monitoring
- Dual-Channel Connectivity: Supports up to two field buses simultaneously. With specific adapter cables, it can handle up to four connections (2 x CAN FD and 2 x LIN).
- Performance:
- CAN FD: Supports bit rates from 25 kbit/s up to 12 Mbit/s for data fields.
- LIN: Supports bit rates from 1 kbit/s up to 20 kbit/s.
- Isolation: Each CAN FD channel is separately isolated from USB and LIN up to 500 V to protect the host PC.
- Protocol Support: Complies with CAN 2.0 A/B and FD specifications, with switchable support for both ISO and Non-ISO CAN FD standards.
- Robust Design: Housed in a durable aluminum casing, making it suitable for mobile and industrial applications.
- Integrated Tools: Includes the PCAN-View monitor software and the PCAN-Basic API for custom application development.

CAN operation properties

- Automatic bit rate, frame length, and checksum type recognition
- Autonomous scheduler with support for unconditional, event, and sporadic frames
- Hardware can work through a schedule table (up to 8 schedule tables can be configured with a total of 256 slots)
