The Peak systems PCAN-USB IPEH-002021 is a compact adapter used to connect a computer's USB port to a CAN (Controller Area Network) bus for monitoring, analyzing, and communicating within industrial and automotive networks. PC Connection: USB plug type A (Full-Speed mode, compatible with USB 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0) CAN Connection: D-Sub, 9-pin male connector, following the CiA-recommendation DS 102 pinout (CAN_H=7, CAN_L=2, CAN_GND=3) CAN Standard: CAN 2.0A (11-bit ID) and CAN 2.0B (29-bit ID) Bit Rates: 5 kbit/s up to 1 Mbit/s

• Connectivity: Connects via USB (Full-Speed mode, compatible with USB 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0) to the PC and a 9-pin D-Sub connector to the CAN bus.
• CAN Standard Support: Complies with both CAN 2.0A (11-bit ID) and 2.0B (29-bit ID) specifications.
• Power Supply: The adapter is powered directly via the USB connection, eliminating the need for an external power source.
• Operating Status Indicator: An integrated LED light indicates the operating state and bus traffic of the adapter.
• No Galvanic Isolation: The IPEH-002021 model is the standard version and does not include the 500V galvanic isolation found in the IPEH-002022 model, meaning it is better suited for environments where electrical interference or voltage spikes are less of a concern.
