KYOWA KFRPB Foil Strain Gages for Composite Materials. These strain gages are suitable for measuring strain in compound materials such as CFRP and GFRP. They make use of a special pattern to improve the effect of self heating caused by gage current as well as the reinforcement effect on low- elastic materials.

The Kyowa KFRPB series foil strain gages are used for strain measurement on composite materials such as Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) and Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP). They are specifically designed to provide accurate measurements on materials with low elasticity

Technical Specifications

Resistive Element Material: NiCu alloy foil.
Self-Temperature-Compensation Range: 0 to 150 °C.
Applicable Linear Expansion Coefficients: Available for 1, 3, 6, and 9 (×10⁻⁶/°C) to match various materials.

How to order

When ordering, specify the model of the strain gage and the code of the lead-wire cable with a space in between. E.g. KFRPB-5-120-C1-1 with 2 polyester-coated copper wires 15 cm long→ KFRPB-5-120-C1-1 N15C2 KFRPB-5-120-D22-3 with a vinyl-coated flat 3-wire cable 5 m long pre-attached→ KFRPB-5-120-D22-3 L5M3S If no lead-wire cable code is suffixed, the gage is delivered with gage leads only. (Silver-covered copper wires 25 mm long) *10 gages/pkg
