KYOWA KFRPB Foil Strain Gages for Composite Materials. These strain gages are suitable for measuring strain in compound materials such as CFRP and GFRP. They make use of a special pattern to improve the effect of self heating caused by gage current as well as the reinforcement effect on low- elastic materials.
The KYOWA KFRPB-2-120-C1-9-L5M3R is a foil strain gauge designed specifically for measuring strain on composite materials such as CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) and GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic). This model features a specialized gauge pattern that minimizes self-heating and the reinforcement effect on low-elasticity materials.

- Fatigue Life: Capable of approximately 1 x 10⁶ cycles at ±1500 μm/m.
How to order
When ordering, specify the model of the strain gage and the code of the lead-wire cable with a space in between. E.g. KFRPB-5-120-C1-1 with 2 polyester-coated copper wires 15 cm long→ KFRPB-5-120-C1-1 N15C2 KFRPB-5-120-D22-3 with a vinyl-coated flat 3-wire cable 5 m long pre-attached→ KFRPB-5-120-D22-3 L5M3S If no lead-wire cable code is suffixed, the gage is delivered with gage leads only. (Silver-covered copper wires 25 mm long) *10 gages/pkg
