Measurement principle Our coating thickness meter is a device that measures coating amount based on infrared absorption. Some substances have unique infrared absorption characteristics, and the amount of absorption varies depending on wavelength. Additionally, it has been proven that this absorption amount is proportional to the coating amount. By measuring this absorption amount and using a pre-registered calibration curve, the coating amount can be calculated.
