The Hioki RM3546 Resistance Meter is a high-precision, nanohm-level benchtop instrument primarily designed for inspecting the quality of welds in EV and ESS battery manufacturing. It features advanced functions for stable and reliable measurements, even in challenging industrial environments. In addition to the industry‘s highest level of resistance measurement accuracy, the Advanced Temperature Compensation (A-TC) function ensures that minute changes in resistance are quantified. Even in environments where temperatures change rapidly, such as immediately after welding, the system accurately detects slight differences in welding quality, contributing to the early detection of potential defective products. Furthermore, a new function has been added that instantly activates the protection circuit and shuts down the circuit when an over-input is detected. This reduces the risk of failure and prevents production line downtime. In addition, for production line system construction, support for "maximum allowable path resistance of 9Ω" and the provision of a dedicated probe kit support stable operation over the long term and seamless system construction.

- Ultra-High Precision: Offers a resolution of 1 nΩ to detect minute changes in weld quality.
- Active Circuit Protection (ACP): Built-in protection against input voltages up to DC 60 V, safeguarding the instrument from damage during miswiring and reducing production line downtime.
- Advanced Temperature Compensation (A-TC): Automatically compensates resistance measurements in real-time for temperature variations, allowing stable and accurate pass/fail judgments immediately after welding without needing to wait for the target to cool.
- Advanced Offset Voltage Compensation (A-OVC): Suppresses variations in measured values caused by thermoelectric power and other offset voltages, ensuring stability in noisy environments.
- High Path-Resistance Tolerance: Supports long cabling and complex test setups with a maximum path resistance tolerance of up to 9 Ω, facilitating easier integration into automated testing systems.
- Multi-channel Testing: Can be equipped with the internal Multiplexer Unit Z3003 for multi-channel testing of up to 20 channels without increasing the instrument's footprint.
- Power Supply: Operates on 100 V to 240 V AC, 50 Hz/60 Hz power.
- Dimensions and Mass: Measures 215 mm W × 80 mm H × 306.5 mm D (excluding protruding parts) and weighs approximately 3.4 kg
The RM3546 is optimized for low-resistance measurements, making it suitable for a variety of quality control applications:
