The HAKKO FR551-3015-J is a high-quality desoldering wick (also known as solder braid) used to remove excess solder from printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components. This specific model is a 3 mm wide braid that comes in a 1.5-meter length roll.

Specification:

• Material: Copper braid impregnated with No-Clean, Halogen-Free flux.
• Post-Use Cleaning: Because it uses "No-Clean" flux, it leaves minimal residue that is non-corrosive, meaning the board typically does not require washing after use.
• Safety: Packaged in an ESD-safe dispenser to protect sensitive electronic components from static discharge during work.

Usage/Applications Desoldering wire is used to remove solder from an elemental device or from patterns on a printed circuit board (PCB) from which surface-mounted devices such as BGA (ball grid array) have been removed. Place the desoldering wire on where you want to desolder, and put a soldering iron on top to melt a solder joint.

Suitable width can be chosen from 1.5 mm to 5 mm for your work

You can cut the WICK without switching to nippers after solder removal, improving work efficiency.
