The FUJIFILM Prescale MS (270mm x 10m) is a specialized, tactile pressure-indicating film designed to visually map, measure, and analyze surface contact pressure. The "MS" designation stands for Medium Pressure (Mono-Sheet), meaning it consists of a single roll where the color-forming and color-developing layers are integrated onto a single polyester base.

How It Works

• Placement: Cut a piece of the film from the roll and place it between any two touching, impacting, or mating surfaces. 
• Reaction: As pressure is applied, microcapsules built into the film burst and release a color-forming agent that reacts permanently with a developer. 
• Result: Red patches appear instantly. The intensity and density of the red color directly correspond to the precise magnitude of the local pressure applied.

• Pressure Range: 10 to 50 MPa (Megapascals), which translates to approximately 1,420 to 7,110 PSI or 100 to 500 kg/cm².
• Dimensions: 270 mm wide by 10 meters long, supplied as a continuous roll type.
• Film Structure: Mono-sheet (Single-ply). You only need to cut a single sheet and place it directly between your two mating surfaces.
• Accuracy: ±10% or less when evaluated via an official densitometer or digital analysis software.
• Optimal Operating Environment: Recommended at temperatures between 20°C to 35°C (68°F to 95°F) and relative humidity between 35% to 80% RH.
