The Chroma 19073 is a compact, 3-in-1 Hipot Tester designed for electrical safety testing. It is used to verify that electronic components and appliances meet safety standards by testing their insulation and grounding. The Chroma 19073 is a high-precision electrical safety tester that integrates AC Hipot, DC Hipot, and Insulation Resistance (IR) testing.  

• Triple Functionality: Combines AC Hipot (5kV), DC Hipot (6kV), and IR testing into one portable unit.
• Safety Safeguards: Includes a Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) to protect operators from electric shock if a ground current is detected.
• Error Detection: Features Open Short Check (OSC) to ensure the device under test is correctly connected before starting the high-voltage test.
• Flashover Detection: Capable of detecting electrical transients (arcs) that standard testers might miss.

• AC and DC Hipot Testing: Checks the dielectric strength of an item to ensure it can withstand high voltage without breaking down.
• Insulation Resistance (IR) Measurement: Measures the resistance between isolated parts of a device, typically ranging from 1MΩ to 5GΩ.
• Safety Compliance: Used in production and R&D to satisfy UL, IEC, and TUV safety regulations.
• Component Testing: Commonly used for testing transformers, electric motors, and other electronic components.

• Test Timing: Programmable ramp, fall, and dwell times from 0.1 to 999 seconds 
• Memory Storage: Internal memory for 10 steps or 60 groups of test setups.
• Safety: Built-in Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) that shuts down if current imbalance exceeds 0.5mA
• Interfaces: Standard RS-232, with optional RS-485 or GPIB support
