What is the unit of sugar content "Brix"?

Basically, a saccharometer measures and displays the Brix value. Brix is a unit determined by the mass ratio of sucrose dissolved in water , and is commonly known as sugar content. In actual measurements, solid components other than sucrose also affect the measured values. In essence, it is a unit that indicates the mass ratio of dissolved solid substances. The saccharometer converts the measured refractive index into the Brix value of the sucrose solution and displays it as a measurement. When a solution of 1g sucrose and 99g water is measured with a saccharometer, it will show 1% ^{* .} (*) 1g / (1g + 99g) × 100 = 1%
